The conflict in my book is that Carson is trying to get a school magazine going. So far he’s gotten permission by the principle and has the money. Now all he needs is to get support from his peers. He says that this is going to be hard. I think this is external conflict.

Alligator Snapping Turtle

I am like the moon
People see me but never come near
They wonder what I am and what I’m like
I am an Alligator Snapping Turtle
People say that I don’t look like Normal turtles
I agree
I look in the water at times
I’m a beast
Sometimes I even make kids cry
I don’t want to hurt anyone
But if someone comes into my territory
I need to defend it
Not that it matters
I don’t have a family
It’s just me
Sometimes I wonder what I’m going to do later
I wonder if I’ll have kids
But for now I’m just living in the Flint River
An ugly Alligator Snapping Turtle on a quest

FDR accomplished many things in his lifetime. He created the New Deal, got married, and even became president. But like everyone’s life, certain people shaped his. Two people that did this were his mother, Sara, and his wife, Eleanor. Sara always had to be around Roosevelt. She became very attached to him and never wanted to leave. She even moved in next to him and his family. This got Roosevelt attached. Eleanor always took care of him. When he was first diagnosed with polio, Eleanor stayed with him and supported him. She also helped keep his name alive by speaking to public crowds. During FDR’s life, he built a resort. The resort was for polio patients. The warm water was supposed to make the patients feel better. FDR used two thirds of his personal money. FDR also made the New Deal. The New Deal was different kinds of programs that employed people without a job. FDR also was a big help in trying to stop the Great Depression. FDR was a true hero and cared for everyone no matter what.
